POD Management and Our Charity Partnership: Single Homeless Project
POD Management is committed to giving back to the communities where we live and work. We believe that supporting charities and giving something back is an essential responsibility. After all, meaningful change happens when organisations use their platform to support causes that make a genuine difference to people’s lives.
For the third year running, Single Homeless Project (SHP) has been chosen as POD’s Charity of the Year. SHP’s work tackling homelessness across London aligns closely with our values of community, care, and commitment. We are proud to stand alongside an organisation making such a positive and lasting impact.
Our partnership is about supporting vital frontline services, raising awareness of homelessness, and contributing in whatever way we can to help people rebuild their lives.
About Single Homeless Project (SHP)
Single Homeless Project is one of the UK’s leading charities focused on ending homelessness and its long-term effects for Londoners. Founded in 1975 by six men, who had themselves experienced homelessness, SHP has grown into a vital support network dedicated to making sure no one in London has to face homelessness alone.
Every year, SHP helps thousands of people across London, offering life-changing support ranging from safe housing and specialist advice to wellbeing, employment support, and community programmes. It’s estimated that over 10,000 Londoners are supported annually through SHP’s wide array of services.
Besides helping people off the streets and into emergency and longer-term accommodation, SHP supports people through the complex emotional and practical challenges that often accompany homelessness. These include mental health issues, substance use recovery, employment barriers, and social isolation. Their expert teams work tirelessly to help those who have experienced homelessness regain their confidence and independence, while also working to prevent hundreds of struggling Londoners from becoming homeless in the first place.
Why POD Supports SHP - Values in Action
At POD Management, we’re constantly motivated by the positive impact our work has on people’s lives, and this extends beyond buildings to the broader communities we serve. SHP stood out as a charity that strives for exactly the same. Here are just some of the reasons we are proud to support them:
Shared Belief in Community Resilience
Just as POD works creatively to deliver solutions and support for residents and clients, SHP equips individuals with the tools they need to rebuild their lives. Their emphasis on holistic support, from mental wellbeing to employment and life skills, resonates deeply with our own approach to people-centred service.
Financial Integrity
Single Homeless Project operates with financial integrity and impact at the forefront. For every pound donated or fundraised, the majority goes straight to frontline services that directly support vulnerable Londoners. Supporters can feel confident their contributions make a real difference.
Long-Term Change, Not Short-Term Fixes
SHP doesn’t just provide temporary shelter. They walk alongside people as they transition back into fulfilling, independent lives. This long-term approach mirrors how we support our own communities, with consistency, compassion, and care.
Reflecting on 2025
Last year, our teams quite literally went the extra mile by taking part in charity marathons, mud runs, and our Dash to Tashkent walking challenge. All of these helped to raise vital funds and awareness for SHP’s work supporting people experiencing homelessness in London. We also brought colleagues and partners together for a charity football tournament, made possible with fantastic support from many of our valued contractors.
Alongside fundraising events, many members of the POD team generously donated their time to support SHP directly at several of their shelters. This included helping to paint and redecorate rooms, transforming them into calm, welcoming spaces designed to support therapy sessions and wellbeing activities for SHP service users.
Towards the end of the year, we continued our fundraising efforts with a charity padel event at Green Quarter, before finishing on a sweet note with a bake sale at our Head Office! Together, we raised over £8,000 for Single Homeless Project.
POD’s Fundraising and Support Activities for SHP in 2026
As part of our ongoing partnership with SHP, POD is planning a series of fundraising and engagement activities throughout 2026. These are designed not only to raise vital funds but also to raise continued awareness about the reality of homelessness in London.
Here is what we have planned:
Team SHP Challenge Events
This year, POD Management team members will be taking part in SHP’s #TeamSHP challenge events, from charity runs and bike rides to walks and other physical challenges. These events give staff, partners, and supporters a way to make a tangible contribution and encourage healthy, team-building activities.
Workplace Fundraisers
We will be hosting internal fundraising activities across our offices, including charity bake sales, quiz nights, and raffle events. These initiatives help bring our staff together around a shared purpose and make every contribution count.
Volunteer Days and Engagement
In addition to fundraising, POD Management is organising volunteer days where staff will spend time directly supporting SHP services. This includes helping at community events, assisting with awareness campaigns, or supporting practical tasks that enable SHP to focus resources where they matter most.
Support Our Partnership with SHP
Whether you’re a resident we manage or a corporate partner of POD, you can support SHP too! If you’d like to show your support, you can donate via our JustGiving page. Even small contributions make a big difference in helping SHP deliver vital services.
If you’d like to share Single Homeless Project’s mission with your network, you can find more information on their website.

We are incredibly proud of what we have achieved with Single Homeless Project so far, and we are excited for what is to come. We are committed to making 2026 a year of meaningful progress in the fight against homelessness in London.
